Our client is a privately-owned food grade tank carrier, providing transportation services throughout the United States, while also offering import/export services between the US, Canada, and Mexico. Headquartered in Winter Haven, Florida, and recognized nationwide as an industry leader, our client boasts a fleet consisting of over 600 tractors and 1,200 trailers.

Tanker Freight National Sales Representative

Our client’s vision is to be the best liquid food grade tank carrier in North America. Their mission is to provide outstanding customer service, delivering products safely and on-time every day, all year round. The company is expanding to meet increased demand for food grade tank capacity.

Job Type: Full-time/Work from home

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to meet customers regularly, cultivating strong business relationships with decision-makers and influencers involved in carrier contracts, shipping lanes, and freight management.
  • Inform customers of new services, available capacity, and any service exceptions.
  • Assist customers with contracts and price quotes, submitting requests for senior management approval.
  • Maintain regular communication with major accounts to ensure their needs are met.
  • Complete weekly reports on customer activities and prospecting efforts.
  • Monitor load volume, service failures, and performance metrics daily and weekly.
  • Submit weekly itineraries of customer visits to management.
  • Maintain positive relationships with drivers and discuss potential leads.
  • Communicate customer equipment needs and hours of service to operations.
  • Inform customers about Speed Service and Expedited options.
  • Manage transportation and entertainment expenses, submitting weekly expense reports.
  • Keep detailed records of daily sales calls and input data into the computer system.
  • Handle customer complaints through appropriate channels.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Trucking Freight sales required.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Liquid Bulk Food Grade preferred.
  • Must have a good driving record.

This position offers a competitive base salary.
