Gulf Island in Kentucky is seeking a Tank Welder to fabricate and assemble enclosure components, including generator enclosure fuel tanks and related assemblies. You will weld sheet metal, read blueprints, and measure with a tape measure to ensure leak-free, high-quality welds for diesel containment.
Candidates should have 1+ year welding experience, the ability to pass 3G/4G weld tests and pressure tests, and the skill to read drawings.
The Tank Welder supports the fabrication and assembly of enclosure components, specifically generator enclosure fuel tanks and assemblies that support large-scale generators.
80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet and dry conditions, dust, mud etc. They will also be exposed to paint thinner and paint fumes.
