Job summary

Allan Myers Inc. seeks a CDL driver to operate water/tack tanker trucks, perform daily inspections, logs, and safety checks while following DOT and company policies.

The role involves coordinating with paving crews and maintaining vehicle readiness on a routine basis. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of CDL driving experience, a tanker endorsement, and a valid Class B CDL with DOT physicals; Hazmat experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or related work experience.
• 1–2 years CDL driving experience with GVW 33,000 pounds or greater.
• Tankers endorsement required; Hazmat experience preferred but not required.
• Valid Class B CDL required; DOT physicals compliance; Valid Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Makes daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle to maintain safety and report problems to the shop.
• Drives tanker/tack truck to predetermined destinations applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads.
• Work with paving crews.
• Maintains a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy.
• Communicates problems with traffic or site conditions and gathers location info for job sites.
• Complies with truck maintenance, cleanliness and repair per Truck Driver's Handbook.
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.
