Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a CDL tanker truck driver to operate water transport equipment and support paving crews across the Mid-Atlantic region. This on-site role involves driving, inspections, and adherence to safety standards.

You will perform daily pre/post trip inspections, maintain logs, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations while loading/unloading fuel and materials as needed. Allan Myers offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred or related work experience.
1-2 yrs CDL driving experience with a GVW of 33,000 pounds or greater.
Tank endorsement required.
In compliance with all DOT physical requirements.
Valid class B CDL is required.
Hazmat experience preferred but not required.
Skilled in loading/unloading fuel and oil at terminals.
Valid Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Drive tanker truck to predetermined destinations following commercial driving regulations and local roads.
Perform daily pre/post trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and report issues to shop.
Maintain truck logs in accordance with state/federal regulations and company policy.
Communicate problems with traffic or site conditions promptly and gather location details for routes.
Comply with truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair guidelines.
