Job summary

SEMO Tank, owned by Dairy Farmers of America, is seeking a skilled trailer repair technician. You will perform cutting, welding, fitting, grinding, and fabricating operations to repair and modify tank trailers and related parts.

Expect to work with fabricating equipment, read engineering drawings, and repair air brake and suspension systems. The role requires welding experience (MIG/TIG), ability to lift heavy parts, and willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Technical/vocational training or equivalent preferred.
Experience in TIG and MIG welding.
Welding stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.
Knowledge of air-operated brake systems and suspension.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

Perform cutting, aligning, fitting and welding for repairs/modification of trailers.
Grind and polish to 3A standards when required.
Read and interpret engineering and assembly drawings.
Set up and operate fabricating machines (rolls, brakes, drills, grinders, shears).
Repair air brake and suspension systems; inspect and maintain DOT standards.
Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area; follow PPE protocols.
