Job summary

SEMO Tank, owned by Dairy Farmers of America, seeks skilled service technicians to repair, weld, and fabricate tank trailers. The role involves cutting, aligning, and fitting components, plus grinding and polishing to applicable standards.

You will read engineering drawings, operate fabrication equipment, and perform maintenance on air brake and suspension systems while adhering to DFA safety and GMP guidelines. Strong English, teamwork, and physical capability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred.
• Experience welding TIG/MIG with stainless steel/aluminum/mild steel is a plus.
• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings and blueprints.
• Able to lift over 70 lbs and work overtime when needed.
• Must communicate clearly in English and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Perform cutting, aligning, fitting, and welding operations for repairs or fabrication.
• Conduct grinding and polishing to 3A standards as required.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly plans.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines (rolls, brakes, drill presses, grinders, shears).
• Perform repairs to air brake and suspension systems and conduct preventive maintenance.
