Job summary

Highway Transport is seeking an Equipment Cleaning Technician in Philadelphia, PA to clean and inspect tank trailers and ISO containers, safely handling vents, caps, hoses and loading lines in a busy wash facility.

This full-time role on the 3rd shift requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to operate a yard truck; previous experience is preferred but not required, with comprehensive safety training provided.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years relevant experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand English for SDS chemical information.
• Ability to operate yard truck to move equipment.
• Ability to navigate basic computer software and other business-related software.
• Excellent attention to details.
• Mechanical ability and inclination

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively perform all duties to prepare, clean and inspect tank trailers and ISO’s, including vents, valves, clean-out caps, clamps, loading/unloading lines, hoses, and other equipment that is to be cleaned as per normal tank cleaning procedures.
• Properly operate atmospheric testing equipment and understand the use and care of rescue equipment used in confined space rescue.
• Complete paperwork for Confined Space Entry, shipping and receiving of cleaned units, and operation of facility software for TW tickets, billing, safety, etc.
• Maintain an environment of cleanliness and safety within the wash facility.
• Complies with all HTC Safety, Health, Environmental and Security Policy and Programs; complies with DOT/OSHA/EPA regulations.
