Job summary

Univar Solutions USA Inc is hiring a Tank Farm Worker in Garland, TX to support efficient operation of our tank farm facilities. You’ll handle shipping and receiving of bulk chemicals, ensure compliance with labeling and shipping laws, and inspect equipment to maintain safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include maintaining warehouse stock, performing monthly container inspections, coordinating with other sections, and handling hazardous waste paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience with the company.
• Training in Contingency Plan (OTC-053) and Hazardous Waste (OTC-239) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient operation of the tank farm facilities.
• Ship and receive bulk chemicals; fill, pack, and ship customer orders.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal labeling and shipping laws.
• Inspect and check tank farm equipment to ensure good operating condition.
• Maintain warehouse stocks and clean aisles and floor.
• Prepare monthly list of empty containers, distressed stock, and non-usable materials.
• Coordinate with other warehouse sections as needed.
• Complete inspections and paperwork for hazardous waste generation and waste pickup transport.
• Report issues to Warehouse or Operations Manager.

Tank Farm Worker

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Provide efficient operation of the tank farm facilities.

• Shipping and receiving of bulk chemicals in the tank farm; provides services for the prompt and accurate filling, packing, and shipping of tank farm customer orders.
• Ensures compliance with all State and Federal labeling and shipping laws and regulations on merchandise shipped from warehouse.
• Inspects and checks tank farm equipment and facilities to ensure that all equipment is in good operating condition.
• Ensures the maintenance and protection of warehouse stocks, supplies, and equipment.
• Makes monthly inspection of plant fire control system.
• Maintains warehouse stocks after they are received and ensures that aisles and warehouse floor is cleaned and cleared of merchandise.
• Prepare a monthly list of all-empty containers, un-repairable pallets, distressed stock, and miscellaneous non-usable materials and submit to Warehouse Manager.
• Exchange workers with other warehouse sections as needed.
• Complete inspections and paperwork associated with hazardous waste generation and waste pickup transport.
• Any problems with regard to tank farm operation should be brought to the attention of Warehouse or Operation's Manager.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• High School Diploma, or GED with additional schooling or equivalent business experience.
• Should have 3 to 5 years of experience with the Company.
• Training in Contingency Plan (OTC-053) and Hazardous Waste (OTC-239).
