Job summary

W3Global in Bayonne, NJ seeks an experienced Tank Department Supervisor to oversee tank operations across drydock and ship repair. You will coordinate daily workforce, supervise tank cleaning, manage equipment and materials, and ensure safe, efficient work execution.

This is a full-time onsite role. Responsibilities include delegating tasks, reviewing specs, documenting work with condition reports, ordering consumables, coordinating with Project Managers, and maintaining inventory for pumps,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Tank Department Supervisor experience in a shipyard.
• 3+ years of Vessel Competent Person experience.
• Shipyard tank-cleaning experience preferred.
• Certificate in work-site OSHA training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delegate daily tasks to department personnel supporting drydock and ship repair projects, prioritizing efficiency.
• Review work specifications, develop execution plans, and document completed work through written condition reports for customer representatives.
• Order consumables and materials required to complete assigned work.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and other trade supervisors for efficient vessel tank and general cleaning.
• Physically supervise ongoing work and provide direction to personnel as needed.
• Maintain and manage inventory and maintenance programs for tank equipment, including pumps, hoses, pressure washers, and fittings.
• Submit daily manpower reports detailing work performed and hours expended.

Responsible for daily workforce coordination, vessel tank cleaning, equipment, materials, documentation, and safe and efficient work execution.
