Join to apply for the Tank Builder / Welder (Nationwide) role at DeLeers Construction, Inc.

Position Overview

We are seeking top field welders to join our team as 'tankees' traveling across the country. This full-time, non-union position involves performing various welding and tank construction duties, with travel required approximately 75% of the time.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly wage based on experience, plus per diem for meals and lodging
• Pay periods are weekly, with direct deposit available
• Medical, dental, and vision benefits available after 30 days (employee pays 40% of medical premiums; 100% for dental and vision)
• No PTO or paid holidays; occasional prevailing wage

Work Schedule

Typically daylight shifts, 10 hours per day, 5 days a week, subject to variation based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform arc welding, torch cutting, and gouging
2. Operate generators, compressors, grinders, and other power tools
3. Weld using various techniques (7018, 7024, 6010 SMAW, FCAW, submerged arc)
4. Use lifting and rigging equipment, including come-alongs, hydraulic jacks, and cranes
5. Conduct non-destructive testing (vacuum, dye penetrant, oil tests)
6. Operate forklifts, man lifts, boom lifts, and other heavy machinery
7. Read and interpret detailed fabrication and erection drawings
8. Plan and execute tank fitting, welding, and construction tasks
9. Complete safety analyses, audits, and site-specific safety training
10. Collaborate professionally with team members
11. Perform other duties as assigned
