Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is a specialized tank construction company focusing on complex and fast-paced tank repair projects nationwide. Our experienced engineering staff are proficient in API 650, API 653, AWWA D100, AWWA D103, API 12D, and other tank standards.

We build and repair welded above-ground storage tanks (ASTs), bolted tanks, and related structures. Our services also include inspecting, installing, and repairing tank systems such as aluminum geodesic dome covers, IFRs, liquid level gauges, fire protection systems, silo supports, industrial tanks, and insulation systems.

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Perform arc and torch cutting, gouging.
  • Operate generators, compressors, grinders, and other tools.
  • Weld using various methods including SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc.
  • Use lifting and specialty equipment like come-alongs, jacks, and scaffolding.
  • Conduct non-destructive tests such as dye penetrant and vacuum box tests.
  • Utilize safety equipment including gas monitors and respirators.
  • Operate forklifts, boom lifts, and understand crane operations.
  • Read and interpret detailed fabrication drawings.
  • Plan and execute welding, fitting, and repair sequences.
  • Complete safety analyses and site-specific training.
  • Work professionally with team members and follow instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving ability and system improvement suggestions.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Willingness to learn and grow.
  • At least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S., background and drug checks required.
  • Valid driver’s license; willingness to undergo driving record checks.
  • Welding skills are a plus.
