Job summary

Cougar USA is seeking a detail-oriented Tank Assembly Technician to join our Field Service team. You will assemble, inspect, and prepare custom tanks per production drawings and quality standards at our Houston facility.

The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality products while supporting timely workflows. This on-site role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in mechanical assembly is a plus.
• OSHA-30 Certification required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
• Strong ability to read and follow technical drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools; ability to read drawings.
• Attention to detail; time management; problem-solving.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and configure tanks according to detailed production drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Install fittings, valves, gauges, and other components onto tanks.
• Inspect and test assembled tanks to ensure quality and functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, testing results, and inventory usage.
• Safely handle materials and keep workstations/tools organized and safe.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain schedules.
• Identify and resolve issues in assembly processes to sustain quality and efficiency.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
