Job summary

The Washoe Native TANF Program (WNTP) seeks a Project and Resource Specialist to support eligibility, outreach, and collaboration with tribal communities. You will coordinate with the TANF team to implement services, manage data, and assist with proposals and budgets.

You will engage with partners, present program updates, and help participants access TANF resources while maintaining accurate records and reporting. This role requires strong communication and cultural sensitivity.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Human Services or related field, plus two years of TANF event experience.
  • Knowledge of Washoe TANF guidelines and Tribal procedures.
  • Strong communication in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to engage with Tribal communities and partners respectfully.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain eligibility and project knowledge per TANF guidelines.
  • Represent WNTP with the public and partner organizations.
  • Coordinate with WNTP management and staff on a regular basis.
  • Assist orientation for participants and explain TANF services.
  • Enter participant data into case files and electronic databases.
  • Monitor budgets and track expenditures for projects.
  • Plan outreach events, workshops, and trainings for communities.
