Hightower, Stratton, Novigrod, Costello, Uzzi & Kantor, a Tampa, FL law firm, seeks an Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense, and active Florida Bar membership. The role is onsite in Tampa and requires residency in or near the area.

The attorney will manage bodily injury defense matters, draft pleadings and discovery, perform legal research, take depositions, attend hearings, and contribute to strategy and case evaluations.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Bar in good standing
• 2–4 years of litigation experience (insurance defense preferred)
• Residency in or near Tampa, FL for onsite role

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of bodily injury defense matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and reports to insurance carriers
• Conduct legal research and analysis using Westlaw and other legal resources
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
• Attend hearings, mediations, court conferences, and other litigation proceedings
• Develop litigation strategy and provide case evaluations and recommendations
