Job summary

Welo Data is seeking sharp, curious individuals to join our team as Data Labeling Associate for Tamil speakers. This is not a traditional annotation role; you will evaluate AI outputs, flag gaps, and help improve system performance in real-world scenarios, where data quality, model evaluation, and human judgment intersect.

This is a 100% onsite, full-time position with 40 hours per week. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and be able to commute to one of the listed cities

Qualifications

• Native-level Tamil proficiency and a university degree.
• English level of B2 or higher.
• 1–2 years of professional writing experience.
• Experience with data quality, QA, annotation, or analysis is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI model outputs and provide structured, high-quality feedback.
• Perform audit-based reviews of data and model behavior to identify patterns, edge cases, and failure modes.
• Apply guidelines thoughtfully and flag when they don’t reflect real-world scenarios.
• Contribute to improving evaluation frameworks, not just executing them.
• Identify trends in model performance and communicate insights clearly.
• Participate in team discussions, calibrations, and stakeholder syncs.
• Partner with leads and cross-functional teams to refine quality standards.
• Document findings in a clear, concise, and actionable way.
