Job summary

International Paper in Asheboro, NC is hiring a Tally Operator for a full-time hourly role. The position runs 7:00a–3:30p, Monday–Friday, and pays $23.69 per hour. Primary duties include counting, validating bale units, tagging loads, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

You will also verify specifications, communicate clearly, and assist with quality checklists and maintenance reporting as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to use a calculator, perform basic math and read a tape measure.
• Familiarity with load tag system and production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Check counts and bale unit accuracy.
• Check customer specifications and appearance of all loads.
• Produce accurate load tags.
• Monitor load tag process by verifying tags and placing tags in unit.
• Provide clear and concise communication.
• Assist stacker operator with quality checklist.
• Operate a clean and safe work environment.
• Proper maintenance reporting using work order procedure.
• Restack all loads that do not fall within warp standards.
• Communicate quality of unit clearly and consistently to team members.
• Provide timely and professional radio communications.
