Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Talent Specialist to join the Talent Solution Center. You will support the Talent Team and be the initial contact for employees, ensuring efficient, scalable service delivery and assisting in Talent projects and employee data management.

You will handle Help Cases in Workday, support onboarding, ensure compliance with I-9 and E-Verify rules, and contribute to data audits and reporting. Collaboration with Talent Acquisition is key for successful orientation.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or Communications or equivalent experience.
  • Fast-paced, high-volume environment experience preferred.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Support Help Case handling in Workday and via phone, resolving inquiries about benefits, payroll, time/attendance, and policies.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding in Workday and day-1 orientation.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, file and retain I-9 documents, and support background checks.
  • Provide administrative support to Talent Learning, Acquisition, and Management; assist in data reporting.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Your Role on Our Team:

As a Talent Specialist on the Talent Solution Center team, you will support both the Talent Team and be the initial point of contact for employees. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient, consistent, and scalable service delivery across the organization and is responsible for assisting in the execution of Talent projects and managing employee data.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
  • Help Case Support:
    • Skillfully address Help Cases within the Workday platform and over the phone line, ensuring timely and high-quality resolutions to general inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, time/attendance, and internal Milwaukee Tool Policies, while maintaining effective communication with employees.
    • Document onsite inquiries and resolutions in the Workday Help case system, maintaining detailed records for future reference.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service to employees, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and patience in all interactions.
    • Escalate complex or sensitive issues to the HR Help Desk Manager or appropriate HR specialist for further investigation and resolution.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Talent policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure accurate and consistent responses to inquiries
    • Complete Workday Inbox Tasks and promptly address pending items.
    • Support employee data audits to ensure data integrity for the business.
    • Assist in employee data pulls to support projects across the business.
  • Employee Onboarding:
    • Assist in the new hire day 1 orientation.
    • Assist in the new hire onboarding process in Workday for all new hires
    • Ensure all necessary materials, technology, and facilities are prepared and available for orientation sessions
    • Work collaboratively with the Talent Acquisition team to provide a successful orientation and onboarding experience for all new hires.
    • Complete the verification of new employee I9 documents and the employer section of the I9 form within the federally mandated timeframes.
    • Resolve any tentative non-confirmations from E-Verify while adhering to E-Verify rules and regulations.
  • Compliance:
    • Maintain employee files in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including proper filing and retention of I9 documents.
    • Carry out the company’s policies and practices and raise any concerns that are not in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
    • Review Background check results and communicate with Talent Management if results are ineligible for hire.
  • Talent Support
    • Assist Talent Learning, Acquisition, and Management with administrative tasks and data reporting as needed.
    • Tasks may include but are not limited to: all employee meetings and event set up, job fairs, retrieving data reports and data entry in HRIS and eLearning systems, and ordering supplies.
  • Fulfill any other duties as assigned.
The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
  • This position requires an associate degree in Business Administration or Communications and/or equivalent experience
  • A demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • An outstanding attention to detail, organization, time management, and follow – up skills
  • A high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently as well as on a team
  • Proficient in Excel
Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:
  • At least one year of experience in a similar position is preferred
  • Previous experience in an office environment
  • Previous experience in Workday and Kronos/UKG
