Overview

Position Type: Part-time, adjunct in-person classes only

Compensation: $825 - $975 per credit, based on adjunct faculty rank (determined by education and experience)

Location: NHTI Concords Community College, Concord NH

At NHTI – Concord’s Community College, we are dedicated to developing compassionate and skilled professionals who will make a positive impact in the fields of human services, addiction counseling, social work, psychology, sociology, and other social sciences. Our Human Services/Addiction Counseling & Social Sciences department provides students with the knowledge, empathy, and practical skills needed to serve individuals and communities effectively.

We are building a talent pool of dedicated educators to teach courses that prepare students to address social challenges, promote well-being, and support diverse populations. As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll have the opportunity to shape future human services professionals, engage students in critical discussions, and provide real-world insights that prepare them for meaningful careers in social work, counseling, and related fields.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or other related field
  • Experience: Prior teaching experience and familiarity with Canvas (or similar LMS) preferred.
  • Residency: Must reside in NH
  • Position Responsibilities: Instructors will teach in-person courses with morning, afternoon, and/or evening availability. Responsibilities include developing course syllabi, responding promptly to student emails, meeting with students for support, attending monthly department meetings, and grading assignments in a timely manner.
  • Course Delivery: Provide instruction using curricula aligned with department and program standards.
  • Student Engagement: Foster active learning through discussions, assignments, and assessments.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Professional Development: Stay current in your profession and adhere to institutional policies and guidelines.
