About the role:

We’re seeking a Talent Management & Total Rewards Manager to help shape our next-generation People function. This hands-on leadership role involves owning the design, management, and continual improvement of Garner’s job architecture, performance processes, compensation programs, employee benefits, and People tech systems. You will develop infrastructure for a high-performance organization, leveraging your expertise from first principles. This role reports to the Head of People.

This position can be remote or hybrid in our NYC office.

What you will do:
  • Lead the ongoing development of Garner’s Performance and Compensation philosophies and processes; manage bi-annual reviews, promotions, and compensation cycles.
  • Create employee and manager tools and educational resources around performance and compensation, including our equity incentive program.
  • Manage and evolve Garner’s job architecture and compensation programs (job families, leveling, pay bands, bonuses, etc.).
  • Design and oversee healthcare benefits, ancillary benefits, 401k, and perks.
  • Serve as the “product manager” for People systems, tools, and workflows; drive improvements in quality and automation.
  • Design and maintain People Analytics dashboards; use data to assess organizational health and identify improvement areas.
  • Partner on change management initiatives; lead or support projects across the People function as needed.
What you will bring:
  • 5+ years in HR, with 2+ years in Talent Management and/or Total Rewards leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • High ownership mentality, agility, project management skills, and a track record of delivering complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in innovative performance and compensation practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and data storytelling ability; advanced Excel/Sheets skills required.
  • Experience with healthcare benefits design and administration is a plus.
  • Excellent written communication and visual design skills.
  • Passion for delivering an exceptional employee experience and improving healthcare.
  • Willingness to “roll up your sleeves” to ensure success.
Compensation Transparency:

The base salary range is $150,000–$200,000, depending on qualifications and skills. The role also offers participation in equity incentives and benefits such as flexible PTO, health plans, 401(k), Teladoc, and more.
