In this role, you'll apply your consulting, stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills to influence learning priorities and build trusted partnerships across the organization. You'll leverage your project management and problem-solving abilities to drive learning initiatives in a complex, highly innovative environment.

This is not a role focused on managing a course catalog. It is an opportunity to help define the learning agenda for a highly technical, innovation-rich organization—and to influence how engineers grow throughout their careers.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver learning experiences for employees across engineering roles and levels.
  • Leverage classroom, digital, blended, coaching, and on-the-job learning approaches.
  • Facilitate onboarding experiences for new engineering employees.
  • Help engineers discover and access learning aligned with performance and career goals.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to ensure learning content remains relevant and credible.
  • Build a differentiated engineering learning portfolio
  • Define and manage the learning solutions portfolio for Engineering.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen technical, professional, project, and leadership development.
  • Evaluate and manage external learning partners and training vendors.
  • Forecast learning investments based on engineering capability priorities.
  • Oversee the thoughtful use of continuing education resources across Engineering.
  • Explore digital learning platforms, knowledge management systems, and other tools that can make learning more accessible and effective.
Advise and enable engineering leaders
  • Serve as a trusted learning consultant to engineering leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Coach leaders and managers to strengthen their role in developing talent.
  • Diagnose performance and capability gaps and recommend targeted learning interventions.
  • Partner with Engineering and HR to design practical solutions that address business needs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and improvement.
Evaluate and improve learning impact
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through data, feedback, and stakeholder insight.
  • Track learning participation, progress, and outcomes through Lutron’s learning management system.

  • Support the deployment and tracking of engineering-related compliance, safety, and quality programs.
  • Collaborate with Talent Development colleagues across Lutron to share practices and strengthen Lutron University’s products and services.
You'll thrive here if...
  • You enjoy working with technically sophisticated people and learning how they solve complex problems.
  • You can move comfortably between engineering strategy, business needs, and hands‑on learning design.
  • You care about both individual career growth and the capabilities Lutron needs to innovate successfully.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Learning and Development, or a related field, with a concentration in technology, process management, or quality management.
  • 12+ years of professional experience following completion of academic studies, including 5+ years of people leadership experience or experience leading large-scale projects or initiatives and influencing direction across teams.
