Service Specialists recruiting agency is partnering with a well-established, nationally recognized engineering and professional services firm to identify an experienced Talent Development Manager who will play a pivotal role in building and advancing the organization's learning and development function. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on Learning & Development professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys building programs from the ground up, and has the technical expertise and operational mindset to turn ideas into scalable, impactful initiatives. Our client is investing in the future of its workforce and seeking someone who can help shape how employees learn, grow, and develop throughout their careers. The ideal candidate will bring a unique combination of learning and development expertise, learning management system administration, strong project management skills, and the ability to consult with organizational leaders at all levels.

Learning & Development Strategy and Execution
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of companywide learning and development initiatives.
  • Design and deploy effective adult learning programs, including onboarding, professional development, technical training, mentoring, and career development.
  • Partner with senior leaders, department heads, and subject matter experts to identify skill gaps and develop meaningful learning solutions.
  • Create scalable training programs, learning pathways, and development resources that support employee growth and organizational goals.
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to develop engaging, practical learning experiences.
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration
  • Serve as a primary administrator and internal expert for the organization's Learning Management System.
  • Manage LMS configuration, course development, learning paths, reporting, system enhancements, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Ensure the platform is effectively utilized to deliver, track, and measure employee training and development.
  • Troubleshoot system challenges, improve processes, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Experience with Docebo is a plus.
Program and Project Management
  • Lead multiple learning and organizational development projects from initial concept through successful implementation.
  • Establish project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop repeatable processes and scalable systems to support organizational growth.
  • Coordinate technical training programs and work closely with subject matter experts to capture and share institutional knowledge.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Organizational Collaboration and Leadership
  • Serve as a trusted, consultative partner to senior leadership and employees across the organization.
  • Build relationships across departments to understand business needs and align development programs with organizational priorities.
  • Support the creation and expansion of mentoring, knowledge-sharing, and on‑job training initiatives.
  • Bring a proactive, solutions‑oriented approach to a growing Talent Development function.
What We're Looking For
  • Ideally 8–10+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and implementing learning programs, not simply facilitating existing training.
  • Hands‑on experience administering, configuring, and improving a Learning Management System.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and employee development methodologies.
  • Proven project management skills with experience leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Ability to consult with senior leaders, influence stakeholders, and translate business needs into actionable development solutions.
  • Highly organized, resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities independently.
  • Strong technical aptitude, communication skills, and operational mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Docebo or comparable enterprise LMS platforms.
  • Experience supporting technical professionals or employees in engineering, construction, consulting, or other professional services.
  • Experience developing mentorship programs, technical training, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Professional certifications in Talent Development, HR, instructional design, or project management.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is not a position focused solely on maintaining existing training programs. Our client is looking for someone who enjoys building, improving, and owning the processes and systems that drive employee development. The right individual will have the opportunity to make a measurable impact, work closely with senior leadership, and help shape a growing function with meaningful long‑term leadership potential. Our client offers competitive compensation, bonus opportunities, flexibility/hybrid schedule and the opportunity to work with a respected, established organization that is committed to investing in its people.
