Job summary

Mastronardi Produce Livonia facility is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to deliver all facets of recruiting for salaried and hourly roles, with a focus on warehouse positions and agency conversions.

You will partner with Hiring Managers and HR Partners to forecast needs, source candidates, manage the ATS, extend offers, and produce regular staffing reports. This role requires a college degree or relevant experience and at least two years in recruiting, preferably in manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years recruiting experience; manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Full-cycle recruitment for salaried and hourly roles.
  • Experience with ATS and Boolean sourcing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for salaried and hourly warehouse positions.
  • Conduct regular follow up with hiring managers and determine recruiting timelines.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers and HR Partners for workforce planning.
  • Maintain data integrity in the ATS including requisitions and applicant status.
  • Research and recommend new candidate sources; post openings online and via professional venues.
  • Create and maintain process to convert agency employees to Mastronardi employees.
  • Provide regular staffing reports weekly and monthly.

Our Livonia, Michigan Facility is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The essential function of this role is delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout our organization with a primary focus on salaried, hourly recruiting and agency conversions. This will be achieved by employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for salaried and hourly warehouse positions; including but not limited to managing requisitions in the applicant tracking system, sourcing and screening candidates, scheduling interviews, extending and managing offers, assisting with background check screening and tracking and reporting data
  • Conduct regular follow up with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness and timeline of recruiting plan and implementation.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to identify hiring needs and workforce planning strategies.
  • Maintain data integrity within the applicant tracking system including requisition and applicant status.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidates. Talent Acquisition Specialist must access the most effective sources for drawing a strong candidate pool by posting openings online, with professional organizations and other appropriate venues.
  • Create and maintain a process for converting agency employees to become Mastronardi employees.
  • Provide regular staffing reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • College degree required or relevant experience
  • Minimum two years previous recruiting experience required; recruiting for manufacturing environment preferred
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to navigate within team and across lines of business
  • Some general Human Resource knowledge would be preferred
  • Knowledge of sourcing techniques including Boolean queries
  • Regularly exhibits a strong work ethic and high degree of self-motivation
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Working knowledge of UltiPro a plus
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems required
  • Experience working on projects and balancing day to day work with projects
  • Strategic thinker and planning out how to attract candidates with the needed skills
  • Must be proficient in record keeping of the recruited candidates and performing all administrative duties
  • Must have the capability to build a strong network through various means and should be an expert in hiring the best possible talent for our organization
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
  • Normal office environment.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Position requires sitting, standing, walking and bending on a regular basis.
  • Must have manual dexterity to perform computer skills.
