Job summary

CAE USA Inc. is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the HR team and support recruiting across defense and security segments.

This role focuses on building candidate pipelines, managing end-to-end recruitment processes, and collaborating with hiring managers to forecast needs. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in corporate or search-firm recruitment, experience with engineering/IT roles, and familiarity with DoD requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years professional recruitment/talent acquisition experience in a corporate and/or search firm environment.
• Experience recruiting for Engineering, Aerospace, Aviation, Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Space & Missile Defense, and IT roles.
• Comprehensive understanding of complex environments for global infrastructure, enterprise, managed services, and government/DoD.
• Ability to create and run highly complex Boolean searches.
• Possess intimate knowledge of DoD acronyms and terminology.
• Experienced in using web-based applicant tracking systems (Workday or other similar systems).
• Experience recruiting using various recruitment tools including job boards, social media and networking.
• Ability to multi-task with a high degree of versatility and flexibility.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Source candidates through networking, direct sourcing and working with external search firms.
• Evaluate candidates during resume review, screening and interview process.
• Oversee an efficient and professional interview process.
• Leverage all aspects of sourcing and candidate development including job posting, internet sourcing, social networking, employee referrals, college programs, and networking events.
• Work closely with hiring managers to understand current and future needs.
• Guide hiring managers through the recruiting process with clear expectations and updates.
• Provide weekly status reports about open requisitions and recruiting activities.
• Recommend and implement recruiting strategies to stay competitive in the market.
• Ensure compliance with local and US federal requirements and maintain candidate documentation.
• Identify, drive and update recruiting processes to improve efficiencies and candidate experience.
• Build a candidate pipeline for key positions and maintain regular contact with potential future candidates.
• Track metrics and use data for strategic analysis of campaigns and sourcing strategies.
• Stay current on recruiting trends to influence stakeholders on sourcing, compensation benchmarking, job titles and descriptions.
• Identify, implement and manage an applicant tracking system to meet company needs.
