Job summary

Intuitive Machines LLC is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist for a 1099 contract-to-hire role in Houston, TX. You will own full life cycle recruiting for engineering and technical roles, coordinating with hiring managers and driving offers to acceptance.

Candidate sourcing, screening, and building pipelines will be core, with onsite work and a focus on timely, effective recruiting progress across multiple requisitions.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of full life cycle recruiting experience in internal or corporate talent acquisition.
• Hands-on sourcing and candidate screening experience.
• Proven ability to build consultative relationships with hiring managers.
• Experience managing offer negotiations and closing requisitions.
• Experience using an ATS to manage candidates and workflows.
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions independently with strong organization and follow-through.
• Ability to recruit for technical or engineering positions.
• Onsite work at the Intuitive Machines location in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Own full life cycle recruitment for assigned engineering, technical, and other business requisitions, from intake through offer acceptance.
• Collaborate directly with hiring managers to define role requirements, establish realistic candidate profiles, confirm hiring priorities, and maintain effective working relationships.
• Proactively source and engage qualified candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, professional networks, and other sourcing channels.
• Conduct candidate screens to evaluate relevant skills, experience, qualifications, career interests, and alignment with position requirements.
• Develop and maintain qualified candidate pipelines, including for specialized and hard-to-fill technical positions.
• Coordinate interview scheduling and execution, collect timely feedback, and keep candidates and hiring managers informed throughout each search.
• Lead candidate discussions related to compensation expectations, manage offer negotiations in coordination with HR and hiring managers, and drive candidates to accepted offers.
• Manage multiple active requisitions at the same time, prioritize effectively, and provide clear, consistent updates on pipeline status and recruiting progress.
• Maintain accurate candidate records, requisition activity, and supporting documentation within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Partner with the broader HR and Talent Acquisition team to support pre-employment activities and ensure a smooth transition to onboarding.

Required Qualifications

• 3–7 years of full life cycle recruiting experience in an internal or corporate talent acquisition capacity, with demonstrated in-house recruiting experience.
• Hands-on experience proactively sourcing candidates and conducting candidate screening interviews.
• Proven ability to build and maintain consultative, successful relationships with hiring managers.
• Demonstrated experience managing offer negotiations, resolving candidate objections, and successfully closing requisitions.
• Experience working in an applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage candidates, requisitions, and recruiting workflows.
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions independently while maintaining strong organization, communication, and follow-through.
• Ability to understand and recruit for technical or engineering-related positions.
• Ability to commute to and work onsite at the Intuitive Machines location in Houston, TX.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior corporate recruiting experience in aerospace, defense, or aviation.
• Experience recruiting across engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, software, avionics, systems, or structural engineering.

• Experience supporting specialized technical hiring in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
