Job summary

The Children's Institute of Pittsburgh is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead end-to-end recruitment efforts. You will source, screen, and present qualified candidates aligned with workforce needs and compensation structures, reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager.

Responsibilities include collaboration with hiring managers, maintaining ATS records, and ensuring compliance with EEO and internal policies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or a related HR function.
  • Experience in healthcare, education, nonprofit, or regulated environments preferred.
  • Clearances required: Act 73 FBI, Act 34 Criminal Clearance, and Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Execute full-cycle recruitment for approved requisitions, including sourcing and screening.
  • Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements and interview expectations.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and requisition data in the ATS and ensure data integrity.

Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Location: 1405 Shady Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15217

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Full Time, Onsite

The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports the organization’s hiring strategy by executing end-to-end recruitment processes that attract, assess, and secure qualified candidates in alignment with workforce needs, compensation structures, and organizational priorities. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, this role serves as an operational partner to hiring managers and People Resources leadership, translating approved requisitions and workforce plans into effective sourcing, selection, and hiring outcomes.

Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Execution & Full-Cycle Recruiting
  • Execute full-cycle recruitment for approved requisitions, including sourcing, screening.
  • Source candidates using a variety of channels, including job boards, referrals, outreach platforms, community partnerships, and recruitment events.
  • Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, interview expectations, and selection criteria within approved job architecture and hiring guidance.
Recruitment Systems, Documentation & Data Integrity
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date requisition, candidate, and hiring records within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Compliance, Equity & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure recruitment practices comply with EEO requirements, employment laws, and internal policies.
Collaboration, Continuous Improvement & Organizational Support
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Manager to identify process improvements and workflow efficiencies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or a related human resources function.
  • Experience in healthcare, education, nonprofit, or other regulated environments preferred, Equivalent experience will be considered.
