To The Rescue provides personalized services that improve the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other support needs. We're seeking a motivated, people-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our organization's staffing and growth needs.
In this role, you'll proactively source candidates, build relationships, conduct phone screens, and partner with hiring managers to identify talent that supports our mission. Previous recruiting experience is welcome, but we're also open to candidates with strong communication skills, initiative, and a desire to learn.
Build relationships: Connect with candidates and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, build rapport, and create a positive experience throughout the recruiting process.
Source and engage talent: Proactively identify potential candidates through job boards, online sourcing tools, social media, networking, and other creative approaches.
Conduct candidate screenings: Lead introductory phone conversations, ask thoughtful questions, assess qualifications, and identify alignment between candidates and open positions.
Support hiring needs: Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing priorities, communicate candidate progress, and help move candidates efficiently through the hiring process.
Manage recruiting activity: Maintain organized candidate records, track progress, coordinate interviews, and follow up consistently with candidates and hiring managers.
Drive results: Prioritize competing hiring needs, maintain consistent sourcing and outreach activity, and take ownership of progress toward recruiting goals.
Learn and improve: Seek feedback, develop recruiting knowledge, stay curious about new sourcing strategies, and continuously look for ways to improve results and the candidate experience.

We're looking for someone who brings energy, initiative, and a willingness to learn. Previous recruiting experience is valuable, but we place significant importance on your potential, work ethic, communication skills, and approach to learning.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to initiate conversations and build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.

A bachelor's degree is preferred.
Recruiting, sales, customer service, or other relationship-focused experience is a plus, but not required.
