Responsibilities
  • Execute the assigned District's recruiting plan to reach activity & productivity goals
  • Build referral source network within the Network Office
  • Develop centers of influence in the community
  • Develop qualified lead strategies from all sources – referrals, internet, advertising, career fairs, etc.
  • Actively participate in community clubs and organizations to promote Northwestern Mutual
  • Promote the benefits of network growth and recruiting successes within the assigned District
  • Develop and coordinate advertising & marketing strategies (ads, direct mail, community events, etc.)
  • Develop relationships with other Northwestern Mutual recruiters to share leads and best practices
Selection
  • Master information and language regarding all aspects of the Financial Representative career and each step of the selection process
  • Review resumes and schedule initial interviews
  • Conduct pre-screen and initial interviews of all candidates entering the process
  • Conduct subsequent interviews as needed
  • Direct all candidates through the selection process and series of interviews with other Network Office management and representatives
  • Maintain integrity of the selection process
  • Effectively communicate expectations with candidates throughout the selection process
  • Manage the transition of candidates who accept an offer with the assigned District to the Network Office team responsible for onboarding
Management
  • Build and refine the assigned District selection process as needed
  • Guide the field leadership team in developing specific recruiting strategies and activities necessary to reach the assigned District recruiting goals
  • Monitor activity and results of the field leadership team and hold members accountable for their assigned recruiting roles
  • Participate in company and industry training programs and work to improve the recruiting & selection skills of the field leadership team
Accountability & Activity Tracking
  • Maintain database of all recruiting & selection activity for the assigned District daily
  • Report weekly activity to the field leadership team
  • Utilize home office supported software to maintain the candidate database and accurate records of prospects to ensure efficiency of the selection process
  • Coordinate regular (weekly, monthly & quarterly) meetings with the field leadership team
  • Prepare activity/results reports for field leadership team meetings
  • Maintain sufficient inventory of all recruiting materials & supplies
  • Oversee any pre-contract training to be done by candidateDevelop programs/contests as needed to enhance recruiting results
  • Provide support to the field leadership team for recruiting & selection efforts
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 2-3 years of progressively responsible work experience required, preferably in sales, recruiting, or financial services industry
  • Strong communication skills required with the ability to build rapport and influence others
Growth Path

This person will have the ability to learn and develop in this role through training, mentorship and accountability relationships. The growth path is well developed and could move into Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist. Long term this role could lead into Director of Recruiting, Growth and Development Director or other roles depending on individual interests.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary- $62,000 - $68,000 base, commensurate with experience
  • Bonus opportunities targeting 30% of total compensation
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k with 4.5% match, HAS and gym membership
