Job description

NAES Corporation has an immediate opening for a Recruiter to support full-cycle recruiting across Power Plant Operations, Corporate business units, and subsidiary companies. This position serves as a consultative recruiting partner and trusted advisor to hiring managers, Human Resources, and business leaders throughout the hiring process.

The Recruiter will support a diverse range of technical, operational, professional, administrative, and leadership positions. This role requires more than simply filling open positions—it requires understanding the business need, assessing the talent market, developing effective recruiting strategies, and providing informed recommendations that lead to successful hiring outcomes.

The ideal candidate is an experienced recruiter who can independently manage complex searches, build strong relationships with stakeholders, effectively source passive talent, and confidently challenge assumptions or recommend alternative approaches when appropriate.

Your Scope of Responsibility

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting from requisition intake and job posting through sourcing, screening, interviews, selection, offers, pre-employment requirements, start-date confirmation, and transition into onboarding.

  • Serve as a recruiting subject matter expert and trusted advisor to hiring managers and HR partners by providing guidance on position requirements, candidate qualifications, compensation considerations, market conditions, and overall hiring strategy.

  • Develop recruiting strategies for difficult-to-fill positions, identifying talent challenges and recommending alternative sourcing approaches, candidate profiles, geographic markets, or hiring strategies when appropriate.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, HR, business leaders, candidates, and external talent sources to establish credibility and create effective recruiting partnerships.

  • Create and maintain job descriptions and job postings that accurately communicate position requirements while supporting strong candidate attraction and employer branding.

  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Boolean searches, job boards, resume databases, referrals, networking, direct outreach, professional associations, and other recruiting resources.

  • Source, screen, and evaluate candidates for technical, operational, professional, administrative, leadership, and specialized power generation positions.

  • Recruit passive candidates through targeted research, direct outreach, networking, referrals, and relationship development.

  • Coordinate interviews and selection activities with candidates and hiring teams while maintaining timely communication, professionalism, and a positive candidate experience.

  • Prepare and extend employment offers in coordination with hiring managers and Human Resources, including compensation, relocation, contingencies, and applicable employment terms.

  • Maintain accurate and timely applicant tracking system records, ensuring recruiting activity, candidate status, documentation, and dispositions are properly maintained.

  • Monitor and manage recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, candidate pipeline activity, source effectiveness, offer acceptance, and other established recruiting performance measures.

  • Stay current on labor market conditions and recruiting trends, including talent availability, compensation trends, competitive employers, sourcing strategies, and emerging recruiting technology.

  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase recruiting efficiency, strengthen candidate experience, improve hiring quality, and support business needs.

  • Support recruiting initiatives and talent programs, including Human Intelligence, employee referrals, college and university recruiting, military/veteran outreach, internships, apprenticeships, career fairs, and other talent pipeline initiatives.

  • Represent NAES professionally at career fairs, college and university events, industry events, professional associations, company conferences, and other recruiting activities, including travel as needed.

  • Partner effectively across HR functions, maintaining a working knowledge of HR policies, procedures, employment practices, compensation, onboarding, and related processes to ensure a seamless hiring experience.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent recruiting or Human Resources experience may be considered in lieu of additional education.

  • 5+ years of progressive full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably supporting technical, operational, professional, corporate, or specialized positions.

  • Experience recruiting within power generation, energy, utilities, industrial, engineering, manufacturing, construction, or other highly technical environments strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience independently managing multiple requisitions and complex searches from intake through hire.

  • Experience recruiting at multiple organizational levels, including individual contributors, skilled technical professionals, supervisors, managers, and leadership positions.

Recruiting Expertise

  • Strong sourcing capabilities using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Boolean search techniques, job boards, resume databases, direct outreach, referrals, networking, and other recruiting resources.

  • Proven ability to identify and engage passive candidates for difficult-to-fill positions.

  • Strong understanding of candidate assessment, interviewing, selection, compensation considerations, and employment market conditions.

  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems and recruiting processes, including requisition management, candidate tracking, dispositioning, offers, documentation, and recruiting metrics.

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage recruiting technology and emerging tools, including AI-enabled recruiting tools, to improve efficiency and candidate identification while maintaining sound professional judgment.
