Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Talent Acquisition leadership team in the role of Talent Acquisition Manager-Nursing Recruitment.

This leader manages talent acquisition consultants and recruiting functions for experienced Registered Nurse positions throughout Indiana University Health. This leader plans, develops, and implements strategies and techniques for nursing-specific recruitment efforts. A candidate with leadership, and talent acquisition of experienced nurses or other high-demand healthcare positions is preferred.

This manager additionally leads and manages comprehensive talent acquisition (TA) process which includes workforce planning strategies, posting positions, reviewing applicants, scheduling interviews, candidate selections, pre-hire preparation, and ensuring successful arrivals on first dates of employment for designates region/area. The manager partners with customers/leaders to design and execute best practice recruiting strategies and works with direct reports to conduct workforce planning analysis to ensure the right recruiting strategies are in place and being executed effectively. The leader in this role ensures team members consistently apply basic total rewards strategies to ensure compensation package is market competitive for the position, aligns with customer expectations, and aligns with candidate skills and abilities. This manager coaches and assists with direct reports as they work with leaders to complete the talent acquisition process and serves as a trusted resource for leaders they support, and addresses high priority, sensitive issues as needed.

Key Relationships

Reports to: Director-Talent Acquisition

Candidates for the position will be selected from a diverse pool and will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

  • Bachelor's Degree Required or equivalent years of experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant Human Resources experience required. Leadership experience preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as SPHR, etc. preferred.
  • Requires experience leading the design, development, and execution of Talent Acquisition programs.
  • Requires working knowledge and understanding of several functional areas of Human Resources.
  • Requires experience leading and implementing sourcing and recruiting best practices.
  • Requires experience with matrix organization and complex work environment.
  • Requires experience exhibiting professional judgment and diplomacy in handling unexpected problems and frequent interruptions.
  • Requires experience coaching and developing professionals.
  • Able to guide the application of HR related regulations and laws (e.g. FLSA; COBRA; ADA; FMLA; etc.)
  • Basic proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) & Applicant Tracking System usage.
