Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse in Ridgefield, CT invites a driven intern to join our team for a part-time summer position. You will learn the ins-and-outs of daily routines, perform administrative tasks, and support internal communications in a fast-paced foodservice company.

Ideal candidates are juniors or seniors in business programs, pursuing a related degree, and capable of a 40-hour hybrid schedule. Strong MS Office skills, robust written and verbal communication, and self-direction are essential.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited university in junior or senior year.
• Business-related degree preferred.
• Hybrid schedule 40 hours/week during summer.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone inquiries and provide basic company information.
• Perform administrative duties, maintain files and calendars.
• Prepare information and research materials; create PowerPoint presentations.
• Take notes, draft documents, and organize files.
• Run general industry-related errands and manage databases.
• Support meeting setup and training room logistics.
• Attend company functions and shadow various office roles.

Part-time position

Either Tuesday or Thursday in-person at our facility in Ridgefield.

Position Summary

We are seeking a driven, responsible intern to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures.

What you’ll do

• Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, and provide basic company information; oversee mail deliveries, packages, and couriers
• Perform administrative duties, take memos, maintain files, maintain calendars, and organize documents. as needed
• Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain PowerPoint presentations
• Take notes and memos during meetings; type documents, drafts, and reports; sort and manage files
• Run general industry related errands
• Manage databases and input information, data, and records
• Research and gather documentation on company position in the industry
• Set up, break down, organize, and maintain conference rooms, training rooms, and meeting rooms, update company calendars
• Attend company functions and networking events
• Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks

About you

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college in Junior or Senior year (At least 18 years of age)
• Your degree should be business related (ie., Business Admin., Mgmt., etc.).
• Availability to work a hybrid schedule 40 hours/week throughout summer break.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-directed and able to work without supervision
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
