Description

Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist & HR Administrator to support our growing team through effective recruiting, onboarding, employee communications, and HR operations.

This role will lead full-cycle recruiting efforts across technical and corporate positions, with a strong emphasis on sourcing, identifying, screening, and engaging qualified candidates for specialized technical roles. In addition to leading talent acquisition, this position will support employee onboarding and offboarding, internal and external communications, and other HR initiatives.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, collaborating with hiring managers and HR leadership, and balancing competing priorities in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.

Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Full-Cycle Recruiting
  • Own the full recruiting lifecycle for assigned technical and corporate positions, from sourcing through screening, interview coordination, offer support, and candidate disposition.
  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to identify qualified candidates through LinkedIn, ClearanceJobs, professional networks, job boards, referrals, and other recruiting channels.
  • Conduct targeted searches and build Boolean search strings to identify candidates with specialized technical skills, relevant industry experience, and applicable security clearance qualifications.
  • Review resumes and applications, conduct initial candidate screens, assess qualifications against job requirements, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand position requirements, define candidate profiles, establish recruiting priorities, and provide regular updates on candidate pipelines and hiring progress.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs, particularly for hard-to-fill technical positions.
  • Manage candidate communications throughout the recruiting process, ensuring a professional, responsive, and positive candidate experience.
  • Coordinate interviews, gather feedback, facilitate timely follow-up, and support the offer and pre-employment process in partnership with HR leadership and hiring managers.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records, requisition statuses, and recruiting activity in the applicant tracking system and other HR tools.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics, identify sourcing trends, and recommend improvements to recruiting efficiency, candidate quality, and time to fill.
  • Support employer branding, talent community development, referral initiatives, and other strategies to strengthen CPT's ability to attract qualified talent.
HR Operations
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including pre-employment documentation, onboarding communications, orientation scheduling, and completion of required employment records.
  • Support offboarding and employee status changes by coordinating documentation, system updates, and communication with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employee and recruiting records in accordance with company procedures and applicable requirements.
  • Assist with HR reporting, document preparation, data entry, process documentation, and other administrative activities.
  • Support HR initiatives related to employee engagement, recognition, company culture, and process improvement.
  • Provide responsive, professional support to employees and managers while escalating sensitive employee relations matters and complex HR questions to HR leadership.
Communications
  • Assist with the development and distribution of internal communications, including employee announcements, newsletters, HR updates, and company-wide initiatives.
  • Support CPT's external communications and employer branding efforts, including LinkedIn content, recruiting posts, career-related materials, and other company communications.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership and other stakeholders to develop content that reflects CPT's culture, values, accomplishments, and mission.
  • Assist with employee engagement activities, company events, and initiatives that strengthen employee connection and organizational culture.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in human resources, talent acquisition, recruiting, or a related field.
  • At least one year of hands-on technical recruiting experience, including sourcing and screening candidates for specialized or hard-to-fill positions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple recruiting assignments and progressing candidates through key stages of the recruiting lifecycle.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS), HRIS, or recruiting analytics tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent the organization professionally and authentically, build positive relationships with prospective candidates, and communicate company culture, values, and opportunities in a compelling manner.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with hiring managers, employees, and HR leadership.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience recruiting for defense, government contracting, engineering, information technology, software development, cybersecurity, or other specialized technical positions.
