Job summary

Volition Capital seeks a junior Recruiter, Talent to support sourcing and initial screening for our portfolio companies. You will build candidate lists, conduct outreach, and keep the pipeline current so senior interviewers see strong candidates.

You will report to Chris Fahey and work closely with the Senior Manager, Talent on live searches, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recruiting experience, agency or in-house.
• Detail-oriented; pipeline hygiene and scheduling accuracy are essential.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment; pipeline throughput and candidate quality matter.

Responsibilities

• Source candidates for open portfolio company searches through LinkedIn, outreach, and referrals.
• Build and maintain candidate longlists; calibrate to each search scorecard.
• Conduct initial outreach representing Volition's talent brand.
• Run initial phone or video screens; assess baseline fit.
• Keep applicant tracking system accurate and current for active searches.
• Coordinate scheduling for later-stage interviews with portfolio company interviewers and Volition leadership.
• Support Senior Manager, Talent with market research and compensation benchmarking.
• Take notes and track themes across candidate conversations to inform interviews.
• Flag risks or gaps in the pipeline early to prevent stalls.
• Maintain clean, current pipeline data across all searches.
• Communicate with candidates promptly at every stage.
