Role Summary

A Tandem Developer with expertise in TAL (Transaction Application Language) and C++ is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing applications on HP NonStop (Tandem) systems, often in the financial or payment industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications on the HP NonStop (Tandem) platform.
• Write and optimize code using TAL, TACL, C/C++, and COBOL.
• Work with SQL databases and integrate with external systems.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and security of applications.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and system integration testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and business analysts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Tandem/HP Nonstop systems.
• Proficiency in TAL, TACL, C/C++, and COBOL.
• Familiarity with Guardian/OSS, Pathway, and Enscribe/SQL.
