Job summary

Kennedy’s Restaurant is seeking a Takeout Specialist to handle orders, prep and package takeout meals, and ensure a seamless guest experience. The role emphasizes accuracy, speed, and friendly customer service in a high-volume setting.

As a tipped position, you will coordinate with the kitchen and servers to ensure timely pickups, upsell beverage and menu items, and maintain a clean takeout area while assisting guests at pickup windows.

Qualifications

• Clear verbal communication with guests and team members.
• Accurate, detail-oriented order processing and packaging.
• Ability to manage multiple orders in a fast-paced setting.
• Maintain a clean, organized takeout station throughout shifts.
• Provide friendly, responsive customer service for takeout guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house to ensure smooth operations.
• Stand for long periods and lift/move containers up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Take orders via phone, online, or walk-in and confirm details.
• Prepare and package takeout orders with accurate item counts.
• Provide excellent customer service and suggest menu items.

• Process payments and issue receipts; handle tips and POS entries.
