Job summary

Seven Feathers Casino Resort in Canyonville, OR seeks a Takelma Baker to craft cakes, pastries, pies, cookies and breads for a multi-venue department. You’ll decorate with frostings and toppings to ensure presentation that invites guests and upholds our high standards.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 1–3 years in a casino/hotel/restaurant, a current Food Handler Certificate, and the ability to obtain a Class I Gaming License. Culinary schooling is desired.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in a casino/hotel/restaurant setting preferred.
• Current Food Handler Certificate and ability to obtain Class I Gaming License.

Responsibilities

• Order food items and supplies from vendors or stock.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and shredding.
• Mix and measure ingredients according to recipes.
• Bake breads, cakes and pastries while maintaining high standards.

The Position:

The Takelma Baker prepares a wide variety of goods such as cakes, pastries, pies, cookies and breads for a multi-venue department. Decorates cakes and pastries using different frostings, icings and toppings to ensure presentation will be inviting to our guests. Duties include, but are not limited to

• Responsible for ordering food items and supplies from outside vendors or warehouse stock.
• Prepares food and ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and shredding vegetables and fruits.
• Mixes and measures ingredients according to recipes.
• Bakes breads, rolls, cakes and pastry items maintaining the high standards set forth by Seven Feathers Casino Resort.
