Job summary

Seven Feathers Casino Resort in Canyonville, Oregon, seeks a Takelma Baker to prepare cakes, pastries, pies, cookies and breads for a multi‑venue department, decorating with frostings and toppings to create inviting presentations for our guests.

Duties include ordering from vendors, prepping ingredients, mixing per recipes, and baking to Seven Feathers’ high standards. Requires a high school diploma or GED; culinary training is a plus, with 1–3 years in casino/hotel/restaurant settings preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational culinary training is a plus.
• 1–3 years in casino/hotel/restaurant setting preferred.
• Current food handler certification.
• Must be able to obtain a Class I Gaming License.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a wide variety of baked goods (cakes, pastries, pies, cookies, breads).
• Decorate items with frostings, icings and toppings.
• Order food items and supplies from outside vendors or warehouse stock.
• Follow recipes and bake to high Seven Feathers standards.

The Position

The Takelma Baker prepares a wide variety of goods such as cakes, pastries, pies, cookies and breads for a multi-venue department. Decorates cakes and pastries using different frostings, icings and toppings to ensure presentation will be inviting to our guests. Duties include, but are not limited to

• Responsible for ordering food items and supplies from outside vendors or warehouse stock.
• Prepares food and ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and shredding vegetables and fruits.
• Mixes and measures ingredients according to recipes.
• Bakes breads, rolls, cakes and pastry items maintaining the high standards set forth by Seven Feathers Casino Resort.

Requirements
