Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Tailings Dam Operator II in Bagdad, AZ. You will operate and maintain material handling systems, including conveyors and flotation/grind mills, with a focus on safe production and efficiency.

The role requires at least two years in trade and experience with material handling equipment; a high school diploma or GED is preferred. Training and potential shift work are expected in this 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Two years in trade experience and demonstrated aptitude.
• Experience with material handling equipment and safety practices.
• Candidates must pass required training and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Operate processing equipment and control conveyors, transfer chutes, and flotation/grind mills.
• Perform area housekeeping and assist with maintenance needs.
• Monitor equipment via computer and enter data.
• Operate mobile equipment and follow operating guidelines.
• Work with minimal supervision to ensure safe production.
