Position Type: Part Time

Salary Range: $23.70 - $28.68 Hourly

The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non‑profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service‑oriented individuals for part‑time certified Tai Chi Instructors in Orange County. This role is an opportunity to inspire and empower members by delivering engaging, safe, and effective group exercise classes. The Tai Chi Instructor will help to promote healthy lifestyles and reflects our commitment to community well‑being.

Work Schedule

Looking for instructors available to teach early morning classes. Availability between 7:30AM and 9:30AM is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum Age: 21+ years old.
• Education & Experience:
  • Preferred: Two‑or four‑year degree in health, exercise science, recreation, or physical activity‑related field.
  • Coursework in human anatomy, exercise physiology, and kinesiology preferred.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in aerobic/anaerobic and strength conditioning required.
  • Related background in health and/or fitness.
  • Experience teaching Tai Chi strongly preferred.
• Certifications:
  • Tai Chi Certification required.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).
