Job summary

United Defense Tactical is seeking a highly qualified Tactical Self Defense Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive self-defense training programs for civilian members and uphold the highest standards of instruction.

The role covers training development, hands-on instruction across multiple martial arts, and program management while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of documented experience in tactical training, military combat instruction, or law enforcement defensive tactics.
• Current certification in at least two recognized martial arts or combat systems (e.g., Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai, Combatives)
• Current CPR/First Aid certification

Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive self-defense curricula incorporating hand-to-hand combat, weapons retention, situational awareness, and de-escalation techniques
• Conduct individual and group training sessions for diverse audiences
• Adapt training methodologies to accommodate various skill levels, from beginner to advanced tactical operators
• Develop scenario-based training exercises that simulate real-world threat situations
• Provide hands-on instruction in multiple martial arts disciplines, defensive tactics, and combat systems
• Evaluate student progress through practical assessments and skill demonstrations
• Maintain detailed training records and progress reports for all students
• Ensure all training activities comply with safety protocols and industry standards
• Collaborate with program directors to continuously improve training effectiveness
• Stay current with evolving tactical methodologies, threat assessments, and best practices
• Assist in developing training materials, manuals, and instructional resources
• Support certification programs and continuing education requirements
• Maintain a safe training environment through proper equipment management and risk assessment
• Ensure all activities comply with organizational policies, legal requirements, and insurance guidelines
• Implement emergency response procedures during training activities
• Conduct regular safety briefings and equipment inspections
