Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services in Houston, TX seeks a Tactical Security Officer to patrol environments like retail stores, airports and detention centers, reading surroundings and acting on risk. You will verify identities, control access, and respond quickly to incidents to protect people and property.

The role requires standing and walking through shifts, possessing a valid US work authorization, a HID license or TWIC, and a valid driver’s license. Uniforms are provided.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Pass an extensive screening process
• First aid certification is a plus
• Must have a valid driver's license
• TWIC Card (hard copy) required
• Must be 21 or older
• At least 1 year of security experience
• Pass a 10-year background and driving screening
• Active security license

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
• Gate access control
