Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services is seeking a Tactical Security Officer to join our Minneapolis team. This role focuses on reading environments, anticipating risk, and acting accordingly, with duties across diverse settings including retail stores and airports.

We offer set schedules with 3 shifts: full-time third shift 9:30 p.m.–7:30 a.m. and two part-time options, plus a competitive $22/hour wage, benefits, uniform, and opportunities for career growth. Background checks and screenings apply.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• First aid certification is an asset.
• State license if required.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

What’s In It For You

• Site Location: Minneapolis, MN
• Set schedule: We have 3 shifts available.
  • Full-time, Monday through Thursday, 3rd shift 9:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
  • Part-time, Friday through Sunday, 9:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
  • Part-time, Friday, 2nd shift 3:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturday, 2nd shift 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Sunday, 2nd shift 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Qualifications Of Tactical Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• If you have Military or Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• You have security experience.
• You have a state license if required.
