Banner Health in Phoenix seeks a Tactical Officer to respond as the first on-scene security responder to violent incidents across the facility and campus. You will direct security responses and coordinate with law enforcement as the primary liaison during critical incidents.

Responsibilities include patrols, investigations, incident reporting, and assisting staff while maintaining safety for patients and visitors. Certification training is required upon hire and ongoing competency is evaluated.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and eligibility for company auto coverage.
• 3+ years of law enforcement or 7+ years hospital security experience.
• Successful completion of Banner Health’s Tactical Officer certification training.
• Able to demonstrate required competencies annually.
• Interpersonal skills and customer-service orientation.
• Advanced critical thinking, monitoring and rapid assessment in emergencies.
• Must meet physical requirements and pass related testing.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card at time of hire and maintain it.
• Criminal History Affidavit for Banner Behavioral Health Hospital.

Responsabilités

• Apprehend suspects in conflicts or unauthorized entry and document investigations.
• Serve as primary contact with law enforcement during critical incidents.
• Monitor situations, determine appropriate response and apply de-escalation skills.
• Patrol facilities, report emergencies, and ensure safety of personnel and patients.
• Escort and assist with restrained patients and aid medical staff as needed.
• Enforce security rules, react quickly in emergencies, and document concise incident reports.
• Report to security leadership; liaise with internal staff and external agencies.
