GardaWorld is hiring a Tactical Security Guard to protect people and assets in a high‑level facility. You will patrol, monitor security systems, and respond to incidents with professional de‑escalation techniques.

The role offers a competitive hourly wage, access to GardaWorld Academy, and a full‑time rotation schedule. Candidates should have a BC Security Guard License and be prepared for ongoing training and career growth within GardaWorld.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Guard License.
• RAIC / Transport Canada Security Clearance is an asset.
• First Aid Level 1 (OFA1) is an asset.
• Advanced security training is an asset.
• Must have resided in Canada for the past 5 years.
• At least 1 year of security experience.

Responsibilities

• Protect individuals, property, and assets within the facility.
• Escort individuals as needed for safety.
• Demonstrate empathy while assisting individuals under stress.
• Observe and report concerns about behaviour.
• Conduct regular indoor and outdoor foot patrols.
• Use security software and equipment effectively.
• Perform frequent wellness checks.
• Generate accurate incident and daily reports.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies using de‑escalation techniques.

• Ensure the protection of individuals, property, and assets within the facility
• Escort individuals within the premises as necessary for safety
• Demonstrate empathy and compassion while working with individuals under stress
• Observe and monitor behaviour and report concerns
• Conduct regular foot patrols – both indoors and outdoors
• Utilize security software and equipment effectively
• Conduct frequent wellness checks
• Generate accurate incident and daily reports
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations using tactical de-escalation techniques

Qualifications for Tactical Security Guard

• Valid BC Security Guard License
• RAIC / Transport Canada Security Clearance - an asset
• Valid First Aid Level 1 (OFA1) – an asset
• Advanced Security Training (AST) – an asset
• Must have resided in Canada for the past 5 years
• High school diploma or equivalent (proof of education required)
• Able to pass Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check
• At least 1 year of experience in a security role
• Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations
• Strong communication and customer service skills
