Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Systems Architect to lead the design, development, and sustainment of tactical networks for DoD systems, including TACNET components.

The role supports NAVWAR/NIWC efforts, employing DevOps practices in an Agile, Linux/Redhat environment. The position offers hybrid/remote work with periodic onsite visits to San Diego, CA and Virginia Beach, VA, and requires US citizenship with an active DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires DoD C4ISR systems experience in an enterprise IT environment.
• 4+ years in a DevOps environment and Agile practices.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance and US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Provide system life cycle software engineering support for NAVWAR and NIWC.
• Focus on software components on tactical networks to sustain TACNET systems.
• Replace EOS COTS components and integrate new interfaces to support customer requirements.
• Analyze failure data and identify current deficiencies in Navy fleet communications.
• Propose solutions, review with peers, and implement changes with production engineers.
• Create and update engineering documentation and manage configuration control.
