Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to oversee security for multiple tactical information systems and data enclaves. The role requires coordinating with the ISSM, enforcing security policies, and maintaining accreditation artifacts.

You will manage asset inventories, develop SOPs, and drive vulnerability remediation while ensuring ATO compliance and routine security reviews. Top Secret/SCI clearance is preferred for this program.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in security and IT systems.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
• Baseline DoD 8140/8570.01-M IAM Level II or higher certification required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as program ISSO for multiple tactical information systems and data enclaves.
• Oversee day-to-day security operations and enforce policies among admins, developers, and operators.
• Provide cybersecurity guidance to maintain cyber compliance.
• Act as interface between program and ISSM for development and testing efforts.
• Manage inventory of enclave computing assets and ensure compatibility with software and performance requirements.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and cybersecurity artifacts.
• Enforce change management and ensure accreditation integration.
• Ensure operations stay compliant with Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Perform system and network self-inspections.
• Coordinate security for system test plans and remediation of vulnerabilities.
