Job summary

Linchpin Solutions, Inc. seeks a highly experienced Tactical Data Link SME to support the Joint Interoperability and Data Link Training Center. The role focuses on advanced TDL expertise, curriculum leadership, and instructor certification for US and allied forces.

You will conduct front-end analyses, develop syllabi, and lead pilots while coordinating with program offices and battle laboratories to ensure effective training solutions across multiple missions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of Tactical Data Link experience required.
  • Prior military instructor experience required.
  • Experience conducting Front-End Analysis or similar training-needs analysis.
  • Experience developing advanced technical curricula, syllabi, learning objectives, and courseware.
  • Experience analyzing emerging technologies, systems, platforms, or operational capabilities.
  • Experience supporting Joint Tactical Data Link, interoperability, or Multi-TDL network missions.
  • Experience coordinating with program offices, acquisition agencies, laboratories, test organizations, or operational commands.
  • Experience developing technical reports, white papers, briefings, or recommendations for senior leaders.

Responsibilities

Linchpin Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Tactical Data Link Subject Matter Expert in support of the Joint Interoperability and Data Link Training Center. This position provides advanced Tactical Data Link expertise, emerging-mission analysis, course development, interoperability support, and technical curriculum leadership for U.S., allied, and coalition forces.

Work Schedule

Full-time Onsite M-F. Schedules may be adjusted to support extended training periods, weekends, practical exercises, and courses conducted on federal holidays. CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required to support Mobile Training Teams, allied training, exercises, and other mission requirements.

Role Overview

The Subject Matter Expert supports the evolution of the Joint Tactical Operations Interface Training Program by analyzing emerging mission systems and translating new capabilities into effective training solutions. The SME conducts Front-End Analyses, evaluates Joint Mission Essential Tasks, identifies training requirements, and recommends whether emerging capabilities should be incorporated into existing curricula or developed into new advanced courses. Responsibilities include developing syllabi, learning objectives, technical courseware, topic packages, and implementation recommendations. The role also serves as a senior technical liaison to program offices, Service Battle Laboratories, acquisition and interoperability organizations, and other stakeholders supporting the Multi-TDL Network. When new courses are developed, the SME leads pilot deliveries and trains and certifies additional instructors.

  • Preparation of white papers, trip reports, bullet background papers, and technical briefings
  • Capability to coordinate with program offices and represent at interoperability working groups
  • Leadership during pilot course deliveries and certification of additional instructors
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Education, Instructional Systems Design, or a related field is required
  • Graduate of the JT-201 course required
  • Graduate of the JT-301 or JT-310 course preferred
