Dunn Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Distributor Operator to support paving projects in central Alabama. Must have CDL Class B; HAZMAT/Tanker endorsements preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B required; CDL Class A with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements preferred.
• Over 2 Years Of Verifiable Experience Preferred.
• Clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Ability to read maps and navigate routes throughout central Alabama.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Tack Truck Operation - Heat, tack, and operate the tack truck, safely and productively handling equipment in support of paving operations.
• Distributor Calibration & Application - Calibrate and operate the distributor to ensure accurate and consistent tack material application.
• Tack Report & Rack Readings - Take beginning and ending rack readings and complete the tack report for each shift.
• Operating Data & Recordkeeping - Record operating data such as products, quantities, gauge readings, and operating times, manually or using computers.
• Vehicle Maintenance - Maintain proper upkeep of the truck and distributor, including checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and other routine maintenance items.
• Area Protection - Protect areas that are not supposed to be primed from tack material application.
• Radio & Verbal Communication - Communicate with dispatch, crew members, and other drivers using two-way radios hands free approved device and verbal communication.
• Route Navigation - Read maps and navigate routes throughout central Alabama.
• Road Crew Support - Assist the road crew with paving operations when not distributing tack material.
• Schedule Flexibility - Work nights and weekends as needed to support production and paving schedules.
• General Support - Perform other duties as assigned that are necessary to support crew and production operations.
