Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Principal Product Manager (Technical) for the tablet portfolio. This role drives product strategy across hardware, software, and services, partnering with engineering, design, and business teams to bring transformative tablet products from concept to launch.

You will lead planning for future programs, define requirements, and translate customer needs and tech trends into compelling product concepts that shape a multi-generational roadmap.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
• Experience with end to end product delivery.
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
• Experience working directly with engineers on product enhancements.
• Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities that leverage emerging technologies, evolving customer behaviors, and market trends.
• Lead product planning for future programs from concept through launch, including defining product requirements and trade-off decisions.
• Develop compelling product visions and strategies for tablet category, influencing senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to end-to-end development and launches with cross-functional teams to deliver on time and quality.
• Translate customer insights and tech trends into actionable product strategies for multi-generational planning.
• Own key business metrics and use data-driven analysis to inform investments and decisions.
• Contribute to Devices product strategy by identifying cross-portfolio opportunities and scaling innovations beyond tablets.
• Mentor product managers and raise the bar on product excellence.
