• Three (3) years of experience administering Tableau Server.
• At least one (1) year of experience creating SQL queries.
• At least one (1) year of experience with Tableau Desktop.
• Preferred: experience creating and utilizing Tableau data visualizations for enterprises.

Responsibilities

This position is for a Tableau Server Administrator. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and administering Tableau Server in a Windows environment. This position will be responsible for following and complying with Standard Operating Procedures.

Duties

• Lead Tableau Server administration, including user provisioning, permissions, upgrades, backup, performance monitoring, and license management.
• Manage data connections: data extracts, virtual connections, live data connections, data source security.
• Enforce data governance standards across development and production environments.
• Provide technical support to Tableau users by diagnosing and resolving issues related to server access, performance, and functionality.
• Drive dashboard performance optimization, version control, and change management processes.
• Attendance at ITD meetings (as required).
• Other Duties as assigned

Requirements

Education: This position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or other related scientific or technical discipline or equivalent experience. (Note: A Master's degree is preferred.)

General Experience

The proposed candidate must have at least seven (7) years of experience in the IT field.

Specialized Experience

The proposed candidate must have at least five (5) years of combined new and related older technical experience in the IT field directly related to the required area of expertise.

• At least three (3) years of experience administering Tableau Server.
• At least one (1) year of experience creating SQL queries.
• At least one (1) year of experience with Tableau Desktop
