Job summary

GROWMARK in Bloomington, Illinois seeks an experienced Tableau administrator to manage Tableau Cloud, control access, monitor performance, and partner with IT and analytics to enable data-driven decisions.

The role covers data security, entitlement controls, dashboard publishing, and best practices. Strong SQL, Tableau Desktop/Online, and communication skills are essential; a Bachelor's in CS/IS/Data Analytics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Proven experience administering Tableau environments, with a focus on Tableau Cloud or similar BI tools.
• In-depth knowledge of Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, and Tableau Online.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Tableau Online environments.
• Monitor server performance, manage resources, and troubleshoot for high availability.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and data security settings.
• Oversee publishing, organization, and maintenance of dashboards and reports.
• Ensure data sources are connected, refreshed, and secured; implement data access controls including entitlement tables from AWS Athena or data warehouses.
• Collaborate with business users to understand reporting needs and provide tailored Tableau solutions.
• Provide training and support to end users to maximize Tableau capabilities.
• Integrate Tableau with data warehouses and other business systems with IT and data engineers.
• Analyze and optimize dashboard performance and query efficiency.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
